The hegemonic position of USA was based on the defense of peace, democracy and freedom as well as its military supremacy.
These factors led to interventions in many international conflicts defending their own economic, security and politic interests. USA also intervened to fight terrorism, maintain peace and provide humanitarian aid.
Some countries suspect that USA interventions in international conflicts hide their desire of controlling strategic resources. That is why they promote the reform of UN and other international institutions to grant a more equal distribution of global power.
Fails in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria show the idea of countries rejecting the foreign power leadership in their domestic policies.
